Consultant. Learning & Teaching Facilitator, Loughborough University, UK

Gabi Witthaus is a Learning and Teaching Facilitator at Loughborough University, where she supports academics with programme development, course design and all aspects of teaching practice, with a special focus on blended learning. She is also a consultant, and is currently leading a study into the future of online and blended higher education for the Open University of Catalonia.

Before joining Loughborough University in March 2015, Gabi was a research associate for the Institute of Learning Innovation at the University of Leicester, and a teaching fellow and e-moderator on Leicester’s Online MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics for six years. During this time she conducted JISC- and EU-funded research projects into open education and learning design, and ran learning design workshops for academics in several UK higher education institutions.

Gabi has a Masters in Training and Development and a Masters in English Education, and is currently enrolled for a PhD in Higher Education: Research, Evaluation and Enhancement through Lancaster University.
